These gorgeous necklaces are made from native tree seeds in a small Aboriginal Outstation community called Wanmara
They are crafted by Christine Breadon from the Luritja tribe in Central Australia. The knowledge and skills were passed on to her from her grandmother and mother.
The necklaces are made from native tree seeds, including those of the Blood wood tree, Batwing coral tree and the Native Quandong tree.
In the cooler seasons Christine will pierce every individual seed with a hot wir that is placed in a fire. She also uses acrylic paints on the Blood wood seeds. The colours come from the land when the wild flowers bloom.
It can take a couple of days to complete one necklace.
Christine hopes you love and enjoy the necklace as much as she does!
