Connie Boglis is an Australian author, counsellor, and mental health advocate with over 20 years of experience in counselling and youth work. In 2019, she published the children’s book Once Upon A Feeling, created to help children and adults explore emotions together through storytelling and mindfulness colouring tools. Designed to spark conversation and provide a safe space for emotional expression, the book is used by families, educators, and therapists.
Following the loss of her partner, veteran Jesse Bird, in 2017, Connie became a strong advocate for veteran mental health. She has served on advisory committees for Beyond Blue and Open Arms and is an ambassador for the Australian National Veterans Art Museum (ANVAM). Her dedication to mental health advocacy was recognised when she was named a finalist for the Australian Mental Health Prize in 2019.
