Use and Care

This is an indoor kitchen compost bin. Use outdoors isn't advised and may affect longevity.

Both the bin and filter can be washed in warm soapy water. Avoid hot or boiling water as this may damage the paint, and don't place either part in the dishwasher.

Avoid placing hot food in the compost bin, as heat and condensation can affect longevity. Make sure the filter and bin are both air dried before reassembly.

How to Use Your Kitchen Compost Bin

Collect suitable food scraps in the bin as you prepare meals. When it's time to empty it, carry the contents to your council green bin, backyard compost heap or local composting collection point.

Use the included composting resources to help identify which materials are suitable for composting and how to manage your food scraps.

For easier clean-up, pair the bin with Seed & Sprout's 8L home compostable liners. The supplier states these liners are certified to Australian Standard AS4736.

Replacement filters: Keep your bin working effectively by replacing the charcoal filter when needed.
