Halloween falls on 31 October, and it's becoming a bigger part of the fun in Australia, with a few local quirks of its own. According to University of Sydney experts, trick-or-treating can happen in daylight, and orange balloons on letterboxes can signal which homes are joining in.
Whether you're heading to a Halloween party, hosting a movie night or putting together treat bags, there are plenty of ways to make the occasion special without relying on plastic-wrapped lollies. We've rounded up some of our favourite Halloween gift ideas from Pookipoiga, from quirky little surprises to cosy treats and more thoughtful swaps.
